Haiku Collection I: How I Yearn For It

April 23, 2018

Warm up my winters

When my fevers are icy

My arms long for you

Hold me tight and close

That pure, eternal moment

How I yearn for it

Necks fit perfectly

In this beautiful embrace

Never let me go

Haunt me with your lips

The twinkle in a dark heart

I beg for your touch

Be all in, my dear

As if you truly want me

Is it possible?

Dying yet thriving

Cold showers in your shadow

At least you are near

I close tight the door

I then slump to the floor

I cry over you

Here's an abstract photo I took to help influence mood and provoke emotion. I took this from my balcony.

It's been a while since I last wrote a blog. Come to think of it, the last blog I wrote was about the false missile alert. Yikes.

I started writing haiku--not haiku(s); no "s" because in Japanese, their nouns don't have plural conjugation-- about a week ago. I decided to start writing again because I used to do it all the time, but have somehow lost myself along the way. Writing poetry and getting back into my novels/screenplays have been helping me cope with all that's going on in my life at this time. When I write, I am free.
